Well finally I managed to get 250 rounds of 380 amo together by gun shop hopping over the last few weeks and got to the range this weekend to finally shoot my gun. Dealers around here are asking $33 for 50 Winchester 380 FMJ's

Please bear in mind that I have never fired a handgun before so I have no basis for my remarks other than my own personal expectations. The gun is surprisingly easy to handle and load, though getting the 7th round into the magazine against the new spring with sweaty fingers was awkward. No misfires, no missfeeds though there were several times that it did not automatically hold the trigger back after firing and I had to manually pull the trigger back. Something that will improve as I break the gun in.?

Using the standard gun sights and with the target at 15 yards and from the very first round to the last, they all hit the target (Surprise) and appeared to be within 5 inches of where I was aiming them (Even bigger surprise). A few clips later I turned on the Crimson trace Laser. Pleasantly surprised that even in very bright Texan sunlight I was able to just see the red dot which appeared with my aim to be at about 11 o'clock compared to using the gun sights. Using only the laser dot for reference at 15 yards the actual bullets landed about 4 inches down and 3 inches right of where I pointed the dot mostly.

Managed just under 100 rounds before the heat of the day drove me off the range to the cool confines of the gun store.

Overall very happy with my first outing I wont be messing with the CT laser adjustments until I more comfortable and repeatable with my basic aiming shooting results etc. I also need to work on my hold. The slide took skin off my thumb knuckle more than once telling me to change grip!
